Federico Calabuig (Valencia, Spain, 1986) is a writer and filmmaker of short films as ‘Barrymore’s effect’ (2015), ‘Three in a bed’ (2013), ‘Freud’ (2012) and ‘Oh my god!’ (2011), selected in over 200 national and international festivals and awarded and nominated to several prizes. In theater, he wrote and directed the play ‘Low Cost Club’ (2014) and ‘Sonia y Selena’ (2016).
He writes since he was a child, but he share openly his short stories in ‘Pie de foto’ since 2010. In September 2016 he published his first book of short stories ‘Mi corazón, un Tamagotchi’ (My heart, a Tamagotchi) with Ediciones Hidroavión.
He usually combines his writer and filmmaker role with the culture journalist work in ‘La cinematk de Joe Marlango’ and as a contributor to magazines and websites. On the other side, he is a digital, internal and audiovisual communication expert for companies, agencies and public institutions. He has also worked as an advertising creative for brands as Santander, Páginas Amarillas, Allianz or Control.
In November 2017 he opens his first collage and texts solo exhibition at Nakama Lib (Madrid, Spain).
