Federico Calabuig (Valencia, Spain, 1986) is a writer and filmmaker of short films as ‘Barrymore’s effect’ (2015), ‘Three in a bed’ (2013), ‘Freud’ (2012) and ‘Oh my god!’ (2011), selected in over 200 national and international festivals and awarded and nominated to several prizes. In theater, he wrote and directed the play ‘Low Cost Club’ (2014) and ‘Sonia y Selena’ (2016). He writes since he was a child, but he share openly his short stories in ‘Pie de foto’ since 2010. In September 2016 he published his first book of short stories ‘Mi corazón, un Tamagotchi’ (My heart, a Tamagotchi) with Ediciones Hidroavión. He usually combines his role of writer and filmmaker with work as a film critic and journalist in ‘La cinematk de Joe Marlango’. On the other side, he has worked as an advertising creative for brands as Santander, Páginas Amarillas, Allianz or Control, and he is an expert communicator for press offices and Social Media Manager. Nowadays, he manages social media, website and internal communication of CEMEX in Spain. In November 2017 he presents his first collage+texts solo exhibition at Nakama Lib (Madrid, Spain).
